One of the most regularly asked questions at or Mahindra Showroom in Midrand is: “What is the difference between the Mahindra Bolero and the Mahindra Scorpio Pik-Up?” To help answer this question we’ve made a comparison between two similar versions of the respective vehicles below.

Cabin Interior Comparison

Both the Pik-Up and the Bolero come with cloth upholstery across the entire range. They also both have air conditioning as standard in the model and trim variants being compared. Both cabins are built to be functional; however the Pik-Up’s cabin includes a few more design features that are easy on the eye.

Safety Features Comparison

This is where the Scorpio Pik-Up wins hands down, as it comes standard with an antilock braking system (ABS), electronic brake distribution (EBD) both driver and front passenger airbags, automatic drive away locking and approach home safe lighting time delay park headlights. The Bolero however comes with none of these features.

Convenience Features Comparison

Again there is very little to compare when the Pik-Up and the Bolero go head-to-head, as the family focused Pik-Up comes standard with a number of convenience features that are not available in the commercially focused Bolero, with the Scorpio Pik-Up including a number of features that it borrows from its Scorpio SUV cousin. These include Engine Auto Stop Start Idle Stop, power steering, a CD player (the Bolero does offer this as a none standard optional extra), Aux in auxiliary input, a USB port, a 12V Powersocket, remote central locking (the Bolero only comes with manual locking) and electric windows.
